A note on the nomenclature with these connectors; the terms "male" and "female" when referring to Powerlock-type connectors can be confusing because which is which is not immeadiatley clear just by looking at the things. Far better to use the terms "source" and "drain." As the esteemed Paul Hartley of TMB UK says "The female is the source of the power, the male drains it." So, you'd find panel sources on a genny, and plug line drains into them.
